The Bridal Extravaganza and a Sneak Peak

We are busy preparing for the big bridal show, The Bridal Extravaganza this weekend at South Towne Expo Center.  We have been making a party favor that is a "must see".  I will get photos up next week of the party favor, booth and show.  I hope to see many of you there!

Last week was super busy with a couple of shoots!  I'm really excited to unveil the photos from the shoot.  We had amazing vendors participating and then photographers that captured all the details.  It was a blast and it all came together beautifully.  I'll give you a sneak peak of the two beautiful brides that helped us out, Lisa (with Pasquale) and Julia.  Both brides are wearing dresses provided by Avenia Bridal located in Orem.  Pasquale is wearing a tuxedo provided by Tuxedo Junction.  Glenn Pearson and Photography by McKenzie provided the following shots.

Stay tuned for the amazing pictures that will be posted!

A Refreshing Shift in Wedding Celebrations

Almost eight years ago I tied the knot, now we have three adorable additions to the family. Life happens fast. I love celebrating with friends and family on their special day. One interesting shift I have noticed about wedding celebrations is that they are full of personality. No longer is it just a decision of what two colors you are going to use to accent the wedding. We now see brides coming with numerous ideas and photos for their “themed wedding”. This theme bleeds through the invitations, cake, setting, lights, favors, etc. Brides and Grooms are becoming more creative than ever. How refreshing! Isn’t this how a wedding should be, a wonderful celebration which represents you and yours?! Just check these out:

Rustic Autumn Wedding

We love all the personality in these events! Let your wedding be uniquely you and it will be memorable and insightful for all who get to be a part of it.

One simple way of helping you create a special event like this is to tell your love story through your event. For example, looking back I would have included our tandem bicycle as a unique prop which symbolized our first date and one of his first gifts to me. I would also have served pineapple as a reminder of one of his first pick up lines.

What are some symbols of your relationship?  How can you tell your story to your wedding guests? Give White Ginger Events a call; we would love to help create a celebration fitted perfectly for you.

"Essentials Kit" for Your Wedding Day

With all the many things that must be done on your wedding day, one item that is often overlooked is an "essentials kit" for the wedding.  This is something that can be put together a few weeks before your big day and can put your mind at ease for the unexpected emergencies.  Below is a list of things to put in your "essentials kit":
  • mints (avoid gum, it makes for bad photos/videos)
  • toothbrush/toothpaste
  • dental floss
  • hairspray
  • comb and brush
  • makeup for touch ups including powder, lipstick, etc...
  • lipgloss
  • deodorant
  • lotion
  • super glue (for a broken nail)
  • nail filer
  • nail polish of the color you are wearing
  • baby powder or white chalk for touch ups on dress is it becomes dirty
  • tampons
  • safety pins
  • double sided tape
  • small sewing kit
  • tissues
  • band aids
  • pain medicine
  • marriage license and any other religious approval documents
  • water bottle
  • snack
Don't forget to put any other unique medications or personal items that you may need.  Hope this helps in the planning process.
